Live Report: India vs England, 4th Test, Ranchi - Gill, Jurel help India seal series
By Valkerie BaynesEngland's first series loss in Bazball era
What a Test match we have had.
When Jurel walked in, India had lost two in two balls. They were 120 for 5, the target still 72 runs away. But Jurel and Gill dug in, collected singles to keep the scoreboard moving, and towards the end, Gill hit those two sixes to put India on the cusp. In the following over, Jurel picked up a four and then hit the winning runs to seal the series for India. The hosts go to Dharamsala for the final Test of this epic series with an unassailable 3-1 lead. Jurel finished unbeaten on 39, after scoring an equally important 90 in the first innings. An obvious choice for the Player of the Match?
