If you are cricket fanatic and a billionaire then building your own ground is a must. Allen Stanford did just that on his home island of Antigua, initially a fairly low-key affair for a few hundred spectators. But as his investment piled into the game in the form of the Stanford 20/20s, the ground was expanded to include improved player and media facilities and a grandstand which raised the capacity to around 5000. The main accommodation is still on grassy banks but the facilities are now up there among the best in the Caribbean. Martin Williamson
