A busy schedule of Division 1 T20 matches took place over the weekend

A busy schedule of Division 1 T20 matches took place over the weekend. In Friday action, Ra'anana had a mixed day, defeating Sri Lanka Tel Aviv in a morning game, before losing to Sri Lanka Jerusalem in the afternoon, whilst in Saturday games, Young Ashdod and Lions Lod both enjoyed comfortable wins over Lod Rangers and Ashdod A respectively. In one Division 2 league game played in Dimona, Lod were left just one wicket away from securing victory over Dimona A, paying the price for batting out their full complement of 45 overs.
Ra'anana made it four wins out of four with a relatively straightforward seven wicket win over Sri Lanka Tel Aviv in the first of their double header games in Lod. Set 125 to win after Sri Lanka Tel Aviv were all out for 124, Danny Hotz scored an undefeated 70 to help his team to victory with over three overs to spare. Ra'anana were in relative control of their afternoon match against Sri Lanka Jerusalem as well, reducing the team from the capital to 115 for nine with two overs remaining. However Keerthj scored a quickfire 24 off just 10 balls to take his team to 141 in their 20 overs. At 78 for two after 11 overs the game was evenly balanced, before three wickets fell in one over by Manju to leave the innings in tatters. Manju finished with the remarkable figures of seven for six in his four overs, including two maidens, with his stirling performance securing a 31-run for his team.
Super Lions Lod won the toss and elected to bat in their Saturday game against Ashdod A. 57 from Yefeth Nagavkar and a fast and furious 59 from the in-form Shailesh Bangerra took the hosts to 192 for seven to which Ashdod replied with just 119 for four, Amernath (55) playing steadily in at least putting up a fight. Benny David (two for 24) and Shalom Rubin, conceding only seven runs from his allotted 4 overs, were the pick of the Lions' bowlers.
Lod Rangers slumped to their third straight loss, dismissed for just 84 in Lod by Young Ashdod, for whom Rimon Nagawker took three for 16. The visitors then cruised to their total for the loss of just one wicket, with five overs to spare.
