IPL spot-fixing: The courts take charge

In June 2013, the Cricket Association of Bihar filed an appeal in Bombay High Court raising charges of conflict of interest in the formation of the inquiry panel set up to investigate the broader issues in the case. From then on the case, especially with regard to the administration of the BCCI, has been driven by the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court. They have taken such crucial decisions as removing N Srinivasan as BCCI president and appointing temporary heads for various specific functions.
