Philippe recorded his highest T20 score of 95 (57 balls) in his last outing against the Renegades at this very venue. The third-highest run-scorer in BBL 09, Philippe scored a match winning 52-ball 83 not out against the Strikers last season.

After receiving some criticism from Allan Border for his captaincy in tour game against India, Carey came in and captained his side to a win over Hurricanes in their last outing. He contributed with a crucial 40-ball 55 to help them over the line. Since 2019, he has been the third-highest run-scorer in middle overs, with 344 runs at an average of 68.8 and a strike rate of 131.8.

Jason Holder: Holder has been roped in as a replacement for Tom Curran. He was a revelation in IPL 2020, where he had the second-best bowling average (16.64) and strike rate (12) while picking up 14 wickets in seven games. He also scored some handy runs in the death overs.

Rashid Khan: Khan has had a couple of quiet outings so far, but should come back strong in this game. His bowling strike rate of 13.33 against the Sixers is his best among all BBL oppositions, and he has picked up nine wickets in five games against them.

Ben Dwarshuis: The joint-leading wicket-taker in BBL 10 with seven strikes in three games, Dwarshuis had some of his best BBL memories against the Strikers - he has picked up 13 wickets in seven games at an average of 14.85 and an economy of 6.89 against them. He has troubled Jake Weatherald the most, conceding only 22 runs in 34 balls and getting him out thrice.

Jack Edwards: Edwards recorded his highest T20 score of 47 in this season's opener against the Hobart Hurricanes. He has been among the runs right from the trial games ahead of this season, with a 42-ball 61 and a 47-ball 60. His good form has made him the first-choice opener ahead of Daniel Hughes.

Jordan Silk: Silk had a poor BBL 09, where he scored only 188 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 106.21. But he delivered in his last outing, scoring a 19-ball 45 not out, and should keep up the good form.
