Bangladesh v Pakistan, 2014-15
Wisden's review of the first ODI, Bangladesh v Pakistan, 2014-15
A third-wicket stand of 178 in 21.4 overs - a national all-wicket record in ODIs - propelled Bangladesh to their highest total, beating 326-3 against the same opposition at Mirpur in March 2014. Tamim Iqbal, driving fluently, made his fifth ODI century, and Mushfiqur Rahim his third, from just 69 balls. Pakistan were in touch for the first 30 overs - debutant Mohammad Rizwan opened his account with three successive fours - but lost their last six wickets for33. This was Bangladesh's first victory over Pakistan since the 1999 WorldCup, after which they had lost eight Tests, 25 ODIs and seven T20s.
